Ana Borovečki, was born in Zagreb in 1973 where she has finished Classical Gimansium. She wasa president of EMSA (Eurooean Medical Students’ Associtaion) Croatia form 1995-1997. and General Taskforces Directror of EMSA European Boaard 1995/1996. As a student she got1998 Rector’s prize for the paper “Philosophical Influences of Gjuro Armeno Bagliviji in De fibra motrice et morbosa”. In 1998 she graduated medicine from the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. In 2000 she got bachelor degree in philosophy and comparative literature from the School of Philosophy, University of Zagreb. In 2004 she got European Master of Bioethics degree from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. In 2007 she got PhD degree from Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The title of the thesis was Ethics Committees in Croatia“. She is specialist of clinical pharmacology and toxicology and Master of Public Health.She works at Andrija Štampar, School of Public Health, School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, as Assistant Professor. Her field of research is biomedical ethics. From 2010 she is associate editor Medicine Health Care and Philosophy Journal, Springer publisher. She is reviewer for Journal of Medical Ethics, Medical Education, Medicine Health Care and Philosophyand Croatain Medical Journal. She is member of the board of the European Society for the Philosophy of Medicine and Healthcare (ESPMH).
